The Spring Fling Car Show was hosted by the Skylark Shores Resort on Saturday June 7th.

Country Air Properties organized a complete Cacklefest of Dragsters, Classic Cars, food, Live Music “Fargo Brothers” and a Cruise Downtown Lakeport Ca on Main Street.

Aviation Career Opportunities – Clear Lake Flying Club at Mt Vista Middle School Career Day

Clear Lake Flying Club Education Director Herb Lingl presents “Soaring to Success: Aviation Career Opportunities” to students at Mt Vista Middle School’s Career Day on May 21, 2025. This engaging presentation explores the diverse and growing field of aviation careers, from airline pilots and aircraft mechanics to air traffic controllers and emerging drone operations.

Highlighting why aviation offers AI-resistant career paths with competitive salaries and strong job security, Lingl draws from the club’s successful youth education initiatives in Lake County to inspire the next generation of aviation professionals. The presentation covers traditional aviation roles as well as exciting emerging opportunities in urban air mobility, sustainable aviation, and space tourism.

The Clear Lake Flying Club, founded in 2019 as a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to promoting aviation education in Lake County with special emphasis on seaplanes and tailwheel aircraft. Through partnerships with local schools and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the club provides hands-on aviation education programs and works to build awareness of the exceptional career opportunities available in this dynamic, growing industry.
