In April 2020 the City of Lakeport was awarded a $5.9 million grant funded by the 2018 State of California Parks and Water Bond (Prop 68)

This was for the development of a new community park along the lakefront at 800 and 810 North Main Street (Natural High Property) in Lakeport Ca.

In addition to funding for the acquisition of the approximately 7 acre proposed park lands, the awarded grant provides funding for the following amenities chosen through an extensive public outreach process:

• Promenade Lake Front Path • Basketball Court • Ninja Gym • Amphitheater • Splash Pad • Skate Park • Multi-Use Lawn Area • Large Sheltered Picnic Area • Bathroom / Concession Building • Public Art • Parking Lot • Landscaping and Lighting throughout Park • Dedicated Area for Future Boathouse
